Hello
Hello
Hi people from the forum! I'm also new here, so please be gentle:) My name is Rick, I'm 18 and I in a quitle little town in the UK. I've recently stumbled upon some old books that belonged to my grandfather (after cleaning up the attic), and most of them have a philosphy theme. As I turned some pages in the books, I became interested in this theme, but the books have kind of a 'heavy load', and are not for the beginners' eyes, I presume. That's why I went looking around on the internet, and fortunately found this platform. Looking forward to getting to know you people and learning a lot!

Re: Hello
Gentle? Yeah right... your first mistake is misspelling your forum name!
Re: Hello
You could be playful with the "heavy load" and just open a book at random and see if you can grasp anything at all and if it inspires you in any way.
A law professor mentioned once that that is what he did with a volume of Hegel. He opened the book, read two sentences, understood, and quickly closed the book again to avoid the risk of getting frustrated.

Re: Hello
Having Eureka every so now and then. I got philosophy in my blood, injected with a needle of liquefied remains from a selection of philosophy works and texts.
