What is the difference between thinking and opinion?

What is the difference between thinking and opinion?

Could it be that opinion is voiced thinking? Normally they're very close synonyms. Can one word be used for another or do you see a difference?

One has to think to opine. One doesn't have to opine based on reason, though one should.
