Hey all,
I need some ideas on those questions here about Saussure. I would be grateful if someone could help, thanks. I need some ideas and input on that.
Summarize Saussure's analysis of the relation between speaking (parole) and writing (écriture). Why, in your opinion, does Saussure feel compelled to speak of "the tyranny of writing" ? What does Saussure mean by "the harmonious relation between writing and pronunciation" ? Can such a harmony ever be established? Has it ever been established?
