No Army in the world can resist a population that fully resists, guns or not, although they can pretty much kill them all with the new weapons. But I agree that no Army can also resist a significantly armed and effectively trained portion of a population, as the Vietnamese proved.

Although I think you blowing it out of your arse with this argument with respect to America as its exactly the NRA and gun-lovers who are those who would implement a repressive regime if given the chance. So my extreme scenario is that a far-right godbothering party gets to power and all those citizens guns will be turned upon those that don't fit, as will the Army. Lynch mods hello!

Well, we are an ass-kicking organization! Our position is that all gun-specific legislation at the federal, state, county and city level should be immediately abolished if not sooner. Immediately is too slow, but we can live with it!
