Once upon a time, long, long ago - I sat up all night watching celebrities sleep.
Then, a flying duck fell off the wall and broke my head.
When I woke up there was this space I had to fill.
Oh...'Fuuuuuuck'.
Well, when one is left with only 2 ducks on a wall, with a clean duck-shaped space in between, what does one do? One can ponder, with broken head, and think of it as an existential rabbit.
Or one can DIY. GAF. The mental space first.
So, then I wandered in to the PN forum....
Where all sorts of people were giving ducks.
Or should that be sitting fucks...

I made a point of avoiding Dynasty. I never saw an episode.

You're so embarrassed about it you're pretending you don't even know the difference between Dallas and Dynasty.Hobbes' Choice wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2017 4:45 pm

Good God, Hobbes, why do you insist on doing this when you're no good at it? Just stick to being a know-it-all dick head, you've already perfected that.

You have to admit they are easy to confuse. Do you remember something called Bracken's World? It has always stuck in my head. I was just a child but I thought it was the greatest thing. I'm sure it was considered risque and very 'adult'. Same with Star Trek. I occasionally caught a glimple of that before being shooed off to bed so my parents could enjoy it alone togetherHarbal wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2017 5:18 pmYou're so embarrassed about it you're pretending you don't even know the difference between Dallas and Dynasty.Hobbes' Choice wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2017 4:45 pm

No, I don't remember Bracken's World, I don't think we got it here. We got Star Trek, of course, I used to watch that.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2017 11:04 pm Do you remember something called Bracken's World? It has always stuck in my head. Never heard of it. I do remember being shoved off to bed when Payton Place came on the TV.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2017 11:04 pmYou have to admit they are easy to confuse. I was old enough to see Bouquet of Barbed Wire, which I thought was total sex, subtle and intense but all implied.

Star Trek was great, but I had to fight my Nanna every Thursday as it cut into her Coronation Street.

Didn't see the original but it was remade with Trevor Eve. He's always interesting to watch and deliciously dark and evil.Hobbes' Choice wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2017 11:26 pmNever heard of it. That was possibly the most unnecessary re-make in the history of re-makes.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2017 11:30 pmDidn't see the original but it was remade with Trevor Eve. Are any of them necessary? I find them all pointless.Hobbes' Choice wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2017 11:35 pmThat was possibly the most unnecessary re-make in the history of re-makes.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2017 11:30 pmDidn't see the original but it was remade with Trevor Eve. I'm sure some must be improvements.
The Day of the Triffids TV series was way better than the film.
And I think the new Star Trek films are worthwhile too.

Re: Bobby Ewing in the Shower
Not really remakes though. By 'remake' I mean when they are simply redoing the original (or claiming to) (and generally making a hash of it). Imagine Casablanca 'remade'. A great film is a lot more than just it's storyline.Hobbes' Choice wrote: ↑Sun Oct 08, 2017 12:44 amSome are more pointless than others.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2017 11:53 pmAre any of them necessary?
