What food/drink tastes so good to you? Why?

Post by Philosophy Explorer »

I can say that with chicken, rotisserie chicken is my favorite.

With many people, as to why, it could be the preparation or ingredients. I don't know if it's something you can grow into or get used to.

What have you to say?

Cuz it's friggin' marvelous.

Smells great in the can, while brewing, and in the cup.

Even the crappiest mud tastes fantastic.

And it kicks!

Steak (rare) cuz what's not to love about MEAT and BLOOD?

Ditto: bacon...eat it...imagine piglets cryin'...joy.

Big ripe plums.
In a French book the name Reine-Claude was mentioned, in Germany they call them simply Spanish plums.

Because they are so juicy.

Big ripe apricots too.

My wife and I were advised to adopt a low salt diet, as a result anything salty tastes good.

Interesting, I once did the same thing on my own recommendation, and salty things tasted horrible once I grew accustomed to tasting the food.

Now that sounds interesting, lets roast Harbal and eat him, but I always thought ham was salty.

He isn't in some strange religious order is he? I wouldn't want to cook him the wrong way.

Two cannibals meet one day. The first cannibal says, “You know, I just can’t seem to get a tender Missionary. I’ve baked them, I’ve roasted them, I’ve stewed them, I’ve barbecued them, I’ve tried every sort of marinade. I just cannot seem to get them tender.” The second cannibal asks, “What kind of Missionary do you use?” The other replied, “You know, the ones that hang out at that place at the bend of the river. They have those brown cloaks with a rope around the waist and they’re sort of bald on top with a funny ring of hair on their heads.”

“Ah, ha!” the second cannibal replies. “No wonder … those are friars!”

This as as good as the Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts and The Friar's Club.

Do you mean we have to make a pudding out of him to make him palatable?

I haven't considered it before, but he probably would make a fine pudding.

I'm not settling for anything less than main course.
