Superpowers and ice cream

Post by Skip »

As a diversion from demonizing people and slaughtering cities --

If you could only have one superpower, what would it be?

If that's too hard,

What flavour of ice cream are you?

Teleporting to any where in the universe.

Oh well; back to demonising people and slaughtering cities.

Rum and raisin. A bit boozy and wrinkled.

Superpower: Reality Warping - the ability to change or manipulate reality.
[ I think that might cover others on my wish list - psychic persuasion; cloaking; power absorption ( ability to copy or absorb another's powers).

Flavour of ice-cream: Probably vanilla most of the time - basic neutral to which you can add other ingredients, like choc chips. BUT - I would like to think of myself as Gelato alla Pesca. The taste of an Italian summer - un gusto vellutato e dolce; fruttato, fresco, cremoso.
Fresh and fruity; velvety and sweet; peachy and creamy.

chocolate, in a cone

probably to 'wish *'em into the cornfield'

or, mebbe, to always have decent coffee (and cigarettes)

Here you go...

You wake up in the biggest goddamn **library. A shrill loudspeaker voice tells you the answers to any and all questions can be found in the books around you. The voice tells you, you can stay as long you as like, research anything you like. However, you will not be fed or watered while there, you cannot record the information you research in any way, and when you leave you can never return.

What questions do you research? How long do you stay?

*any-one or -thing gettin' up my nose

**you're in a pocket universe, totally isolated from Reality

Human pre-history
How long do you stay?
Until the shadows get too close, or the voice says "Henry Quirk is not in the library. Henry Quirk has been saved."
If reality doesn't operate, I won't need food or a bathroom.

Aw, I wanted to be rum & raisin!
(There may be others of a similar bent around here; not everyone has the poetic bent of marjoram_blues.)
I'll settle for maple walnut.

Superpower: friendly persuasion.

Addendum: all your human frailty, appetite, needs apply in the biggest goddamn library.

You still gotta eat, drink, sleep, piss, shit...there's a cot and a chamber pot for the last three.

I have an aversion to shrill loudspeaker voices. I wouldn't believe in the books. I would leave without asking a damned thing.

Me: I got a ten year old to feed...I'm researching ' how to make make BIG bucks without even trying'.

So far: that but of information has eluded me.

You're looking in the wrong place: you don't need a library; you need Trump University.

Second choice: butter pecan; third: pistachio. Just so I get to be nutty.

Nah, TU is all about real estate, or some such.

I prefer small properties...guns, for example.

Gun runnin'....hmmmm....

Research how to eat on a budget. Find recipes to suit. Write a book on Rich Pickings.
Or summat like that...
