Funnily enough the Americans cocked-up with their German scientists as listening to the Nazi led them down the wrong path as they should have listened to the Russian Kybalchych(who ironically enough the Russians didn't listen to) and then the German Ganswindt(again ironically not listened to) but most ironically enough they ignored Ulam, Taylor and Dyson, whom if listened to would have had the USA around Jupiter by now.
