Does being a visionary mean you believe in technology?

I believe the main reason why people aren't visionaries is that they don't believe in technology or in the worst things they can envision about technology.

You can turn anything into good and evil. The challenge is to turn it into good.

The guy who creates something like an AI can be called a visionary. The guy who provides some sort of developmental roadmap for such a tech can also be considered a visionary.

Wishing for imaginary technologies like they are magic, while contributing nothing to their evolution is not visionary. It's just speculation based on ignorance.

Not necessarily, seeing technology as a tool to achieve your goals can mean you are a visionary, seeing technology as an end in itself is delusional.
