In the formative years of military school Trump was taught the power of organizational strength, unit strength, and a unified purpose within the organization. Many of mans’ activities follow a similar organizational structure: generals to privates, CEO to mail room, leaders to followers who are in turn leaders. Criminal organizations and street gangs follow the same structure. Sometimes it’s warlords and their lieutenants.thedoc wrote:Sort of puts the lie to the idea that "he's not an intelligent man". The top-down power structure is a paradigm that has proven somewhat vulnerable to cellular organization that has no head. The flash protest/riot mob follows the same cellular principle on a smaller scale.
Trump’s personality is face-to-face and he's expanded that to the digital realm. Organizationally, all he has to do is manage his top bosses, the chain of responsibility and action branches out from there. He’s well qualified for that. He will likely also maintain frequent digital contact with the public. Also qualified.
Drone warfare is not face-to-face. Surgical strike is an abominable term. Conflict only ends by face-to-face in either overwhelming force of war that allows no hope of fairness for the enemy, or in mutual cooperation. Sustained drone warfare that drags on for years and years is monstrous. It’s no boots on the ground, as if that’s okay. It’s brutal oppression. It allows people to eat fat Thanksgiving dinners far removed from thoughts of war, and it keeps bloody fingerprints off the Nobel Peace Prize.
