Understood. I think the planet has too many people... and too many misdirected resources. Tightening borders is only briefly delaying the inevitable breakdown within all the borders, it seems, because we can't support what we've already done. No, I have no solutions. I just can't blame immigrants for trying to find safer, better homes for themselves... and it actually seems barbaric that they would be shut out, and told to go die.

I didn't say to do that. The US should be taking the vast bulk of muslim immigrants, since it destroyed their countries, as should the countries that aided and abetted the crime. And as for finding 'safer, better' countries, according to you there's no such thing as 'countries', so if people happen to live on a piece of rock that they have turned into an unsafe shit-hole, then they should just go and find a nicer piece of rock, one that the occupants haven't turned into an unsafe shit-hole. That seems 'fair'. I wonder how long the 'nice' pieces of rock will stay 'nice'? Pieces of rock don't just turn themselves into unsafe shit-holes (unless you count earthquakes).

Is it possible that the defect in our educational system is happening from the bottom up, and we still provide the best education at the top levels. I don't know about everyone else but I am making sure that 2 of my grandchildren are learning what is accurate and true, even if I have to teach them myself.

That makes sense. The intense division between the top and bottom in the US is a distinguishing feature. Much that is state-of-the-art is developed in the US, but the levels of poverty and deprivation in the least privileged parts of US society are closer to those of developing countries.

The US's health system is a good example. Much groundbreaking work is down at the top end, and VIPs will often go to the US for advanced treatment of diseases that can't readily be treated elsewhere. Meanwhile, the poor in the US have less access to affordable healthcare than the poor in any other major western economy. A land of extremes, including increasingly extreme inequity.

Oh my gosh.
Some people created flags to take control over stupid people, stupid people helped them, cause they always try to fit in a group, maybe they created the flag, and some people just used them. And then, yes, some people were (is) more stupidified. Some people created guns to kill other people, the gun makers realized that their business get better if they create conflict, and so, more people is killed because there are guns.
But "people" were (is, will be) that way before flags, before tv shows, before porn, before drug dealers, before gun sellers/makers. Kill all the politicians, all the thieves, all evil ans stupid people, and tomorrow there will be more people doing the same, cause doing that they can earn more money, sex, power, health, better food... there will always be slaves and masters. Kill them all, all what you see as nasty people, and repeat for ever. In the end there will be 0,01% of human population, maybe.
I'm not saying it is a monstruosity, I'm just saying it's impossible to do that.
If you want to loof for the source of your problems look at genetics, or create a God, a destiny, and then blame him... or look at yourself, at the way you act. But c'mon, looking at flags is a flag.
