In order of deaths - High to Low :
Heart Disease
Cancer
Gun Violence
So, basically, our meat based diets of fats & saturated fats added for flavor in a fast food setting is killing us at a rate of about 700 people per day.
We have exposed ourselves, and continue to expose ourselves to unneeded carcinogens through advertising and eating the capitalistic bullshit of ignoring the environment & exclusively focusing in upon the concept of profit.
Our fear of death as well as fear of others that do not visit us within our television box and our hate for ourselves and what we really are fuels the sale of firearms and a culture of violence.
Period.

Here's my source - Center for Disease Control CDC :10 Leading Causes of Death by Age Group United States 2013.
I used ages 1 - 54.
I direct your attention to Homicides & Suicides.
...anytime you would like to comment on the actual thread instead of taking a swing above your pay grade - feel free.
You may want to look-up a course upon civility & manners.
Good luck in your search...

How do you get from homicide and suicide to gun violence? People get stabbed, suicides use pills and jump off bridges. So in the end you did make up your numbers.Bill Wiltrack wrote:.

Regarding civility, anyone who uses "size = 124" on a discussion forum in which everyone else manages to express themselves using normal font sizes, is lacking in civility themselves. You are constantly shouting at everyone and I'm sure I'm not the only person annoyed by it.
But forget that. If you have actual numbers I would be glad to see them. Meanwhile, you are far more likely to die of an automobile accident than gun violence. And staying out of cars won't help, since 4700 Americans a year are pedestrians killed by cars.

* Already forgotten. No worries.
> Over 80 people per day are killed with guns in America.
Take a deep breath. Go back & re-read my original post. Don't try to read anymore into it. Don't worry about cars or pedestrians right now or the subtext of homicides & suicides. Just focus upon what I actually said. Hit the CDC link that I provided.
Hope that helps.

I don't have any preferences.
The numbers talk & I think what they say is interesting in itself.
I'm a realist. I accept the top three as they stand.
What are your preferences for the Top Three Exits?
