Competition has always been the catalyst for innovation. In this sense, the free market - free from government intervention and monopolies - is the most progressive economic system as it promotes innovation. Socialism kills innovation and incentive. ...
And yet is was socialism that did pretty much all the space firsts, albeit with the know-how of fascism?
Socialism will need to control the population to the point of breeding humans and raising them by the state in order to achieve equal outcomes for all.
It's not about equal outcomes but equality of opportunity.
No. Cooperation existed well before humans. Bees and ants have a system of cooperation that the socialists want - one where every individual gives up their liberties and exists only for the purpose of serving their queen (the govt.).

We already have equal opportunity built into the Constitution. Everyone has the right to life, liberty and their pursuit of happiness. Just because some one says "No" to you doesn't mean you don't have equal opportunities. Everyone has been discriminated against for some reason and has been put down by others. Those that cry about being offended and don't have an opportunity are those that are just wanting a hand-out or special treatment mostly because they were raised by parents who never said "No." to them and expect everyone else to do the same.

This place is filthy-foul with communitarian and technocratic types who very much want you to give so they can take. Heaven forbid you should bring up pesky little realities like you having your own notions of how to discharge yourself in the world. Nope, if you aren't serving the community, if you aren't selfless, if you aren't willing to put yourself in the poorhouse so schmucks can eat on your dime, then you're a monster, and deserve only criticism.
But then that would mean everyone is wasting their time on these forums if you're saying that every member of these forums is incorrigible.

I don't consider myself wasting my time because my posts aren't really for those I'm "debating" (if you can call it that), but for those others who aren't participating in the discussion, but are just reading these posts.

I'd consider it a waste of time to post things like, "Lot of words...Lot of bullshit.", and "Maybe there is still time for you to get a life."

Okay. Just A REAL BASIC PORTRAIT of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, what you refer to as Obamacare.

To your point, what I think is one of the most important aspects of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is that it reduces the amount of PROFIT that for-profit insurers are allowed to charge. PLUS Obamacare forces for-profit health care insurers to adhere to MORE ACCOUNTABILITY for coverage provided.

Frankly your perception of what Obamacare is doing to is flat-out asinine.

I'm NOT going to try to change your perception.
I DON'T WANT TO.

Inarticulate, unintelligent people such as yourself deserves EXACTLY what life serves to you.

Goodday.

If my perception of what Obamacare is doing is flat-out asinine, then that means your perception is flat-out asinine as this is what I have already told you, twice:
Trajk Logik wrote: Not necessarily. Obamacare has a provision that limits an insurance company's profits - forcing them to payback money to their customers if their income exceeds a certain limit over the costs of running the company, yet costs keep going up - even with more people buying it. This is what happens when you pass a bill without reading it or knowing what is in it.
Trajk Logik wrote: I never said that she wasn't insured by a for-profit group insurer. What I said, if you read my post and the text didn't go in one eye and out the other, is that the insurer has their profits limited.
It would also mean that your perception of my posts are flat-out asinine as you don't seem to understand that you just repeated what I said.

You're a great example of what someone without any reasonable arguments do. They resort to calling people names and attacking them. You're incorrigible and a waste of my time.

Hillary Clinton was quite innovative in the early 1990's in reference to single payer healthcare.

I think, philosophically, single payer universal healthcare is what we need to expand in order to reduce the incentive for unregulated profit in our healthcare system.

Too much paperwork and confusion with insurance coverage, lack of coverage, and profit over patient in our current healthcare system.

The progressive world seems to be moving into a reality of less profit motivation and more social responsibility.

A more socialized, universal citizen.

If we become socialists than all of us will depend on the government for every facet of our existences. Socialism always leaves its people ripe for dictatorship and centralized control. The Constitution was designed against centralized government being ever vigilant and wise to human nature. The Constitution protects us against human nature.
Free of the clutches of socialism, its antithesis, capitalism says i can do my own thing and take care of myself. The problem with that is greed drives the society and no social responsibility is felt and government is owned by the wealthy.
Let me know when a human being can govern his own heart with just authority and than maybe a government system will arise for the deserving benefit of all.
I stick to the Constitution and vote no to centralized power and vote yes to term limits for all government positions. Career politics is corruption and by nature illegal in a democracy.

Excellent points. Interesting perspective.

I don't want to search for the lists at this moment, for whatever reason, the Baltic countries are rated, & have been rated, the best places on earth to live...And all those countries have a definite Socialist influence to them. More-so than purer capitalist countries like the United States & China.

i am sure you can make well in a socialist system but the cost is high having centralized power and most socialist countries dont have civil liberties such as we do.
Its always that with human nature power corrupts and having that kind of power is tempting for malicious dictators to overrun.

Socialism is not compatible with human nature. End of story.

Countries With the Most Individual Liberties
1 Estonia
2 Ireland
3 Canada
4 Switzerland
5 Iceland
6 Bahamas
7 United Kingdom
8 United States
9 Cyprus
10 New Zealand

And I'm pretty sure Ireland, Canada, Switzerland, Iceland, and the United Kingdom are more socialist than the United States.

...so, there's that.

Forcibly taking money out of my pocket to put into yours is not liberty, my friend, it's criminality.
