are they mainly temporary puzzles awaiting solutions?

if they work in discrete bits of quantized information and the laws of physics don't breakdown; such as seems with black holes , I am sure they are solvable. dark energy and dark matter can't directly be measured ,they are inferred.

So no science mysteries aren't all solveable as able yet.

Remind Godel's math laws - the same limits pay for physics - we are not able to solve all physical problems in frame of our physical categories...
