The idea of an '' Infinite Regress'' is just a fallacy.

Is there a God? If so, what is She like?

The idea of an '' Infinite Regress'' is just a fallacy.

Post by Dontaskme »

Mind is like space. It's this unknowable something that allows all apparent movements and events to appear to happen while it itself never happened or moved.

In other words...there is no cause for that which only exists as an idea appearing as a movement IN the mind that cannot be grasped hold of.
Simple reason being the mind and thought are inseparably the same phenomena of wholeness interacting with itself, they are not two things.
Mind and it's content ''thought'' is synonymous with ''space and matter'' they are mutually arising together ''here now'' at the exact same place and time, namely NOWHERE.

Is the wind moving the flag or is the flag moving the wind? Neither are moving, only the mind moves.Similarly, does the space matter, or does the matter space? nothing matters except what mind does. Lets think on that?

Nature is the grand trickster of illusion. It's just how it seemingly operates...and it's all grand indeed, play along or not, there is no way out because there was never anything in it except what the mind does.

So if I throw a rock at your head will you keep it still and dodge it by moving your mind?

Sorry A_uk, this will take some explaining..here is my best shot for now....

No person has a mind, a person is a thought in the mind that is not human, the mind is an aspect of non-identified awareness.. this awareness is the ONE common denominator that makes life possible. Everything known appears in it, known only by it...and by no other.

The mind doesn't literally move, it's essentially perfectly still, but only appears to move when ''THOUGHT ARISES'' ..aka knowledge of something appears to make a movement in the mind occur like when there is an awareness of something moving, the awareness of the movement is not moving, only the mental idea aka the knowledge of the word/thought ''moving'' ...

So the flag and the wind have no idea they are moving since they are only concepts known via the mind that doesn't move. Those two seemingly opposites of movement (thought) and stillness (mind)have to exist in the same awareness for anything to be known to happen. Happenings happen in that which never happened, happenings are just fleeting appearances arising in the mind that is always and ever this knowing awareness aka oneness beingness ... so to speak.

The knowledge that there is a rock to be dodged is known instantly as the event unfolds in awareness, when there is awareness of what's about to happen, a thought rushes in at the exact same moment to inform the body to dodge the rock..the thought to dodge the rock is already stored in the mind/memory from a past experience, so the body already knows what to do NOW to dodge the rock...it knows because the mind and body are working in conjunction together .. a thought arises and the body acts.. drawing upon the past aka it's memory of what to do ..thus a seeming movement of mind occurs, ie: the ''thought'' informing an action to occur, and this is all done subconsciously. No thing is doing this, it's automatically one unitary action. Stillness and movement are conjoined twins, inseparably one..metaphorically speaking. There would be no knowledge of movement without stillness, and vice versa, they occur in the exact same instant, in the happening event, although no event ever happened since life is ever this constant flux of life living without beginning nor end...without the inference of mind taking snapshots or freeze framing it into singular separate events...and since no separate events are possible, because anything known is just a memory, aka past appearing now which has already happened so can't be the true state of affairs which is this immediate reality aka this unknowing instantaneous moment NOW....therefore, we have no choice but to call anything that happens or is known a movement of the mind. Meaning, opposites have to exist in the exact same moment or else one would not be able to differentiate between the polarities of happening and not happening....known and unknowing....and this is the job of the mind. In other words, the mind divides through knowledge/language. IT' moves from non-movement to movement without moving...from not-known to known without knowing...it's the trickless trick. Everything that happens is what the minds does.

I'd have thought the one common denominator of living things appears to be DNA?

I agree there is no 'mind' in the sense of a thing separate from a body with senses in an external world.

When you move your body you move the 'mind'.

Flags and wind have no senses to know.

Have you ever noticed that at times your body moves without your awareness, how is it doing that?

DNA is a series of concepts. All concepts are intrinsically known by the awareness of each and every concept as and when the concept arises in awareness. Awareness precedes all concepts known, as nothing can be known without awareness, not even the existence of DNA.
Awareness being the ultimate precursor to anything known. It being the knower and the experiencer of all phenomena... paradoxically, awareness cannot be an experience...it is that which is experiencing the whole of life right here and now simultaneously as all things known.. there is nothing outside of this immediate knowing.

Arising_uk wrote:I agree there is no 'mind' in the sense of a thing separate from a body with senses in an external world.
Although the body can be seen, the mind can't, and yet the body cannot be known without the concept of it arising as a known mental idea.
Therefore, there is the appearance of separation of mind and body, but this separation is illusory, the body is the physical construction of the invisible mind that is not a thing, yet paradoxically 'things' manifest in and from it...as appearances, aka illusions...appearing real.
Arising_uk wrote:Flags and wind have no senses to know.
All knowing aka knowledge aka concepts have no existence in and of themselves apart from the knower of the knowledge known aka awareness. Knowledge informs the illusory reality of concepts ...because the knower of knowledge cannot know itself as an object. No object has ever existed separate from the subject knower...aka awareness one with the knowing, knowing itself via the object it knows albeit illusory.

Objects already known by subjective awareness cannot know anything, simply because subject cannot know itself as an object. Therefore, objects are illusory things appearing real within awareness which is everything and nothing.

It appears that Electromagnetism runs the whole mechanism of life....moving and going nowhere...doing nothing.

No one has awareness. Everything is awareness...awareness being the source of everything known.

And yes the body does move without knowledge of it's movement...when the mind is in abeyance...inactive. ALL Knowledge is a mental activity..either on or off....the mind is the actualising aspect of pure latent awareness manifesting itself as known...aka knowing itself. Awareness being the still silent unmoved mover.

When a voice says .. raise your arm! ..the arm is raised not by the person doing it, it's raised by a conscious programming running the body into performing certain actions, it's an automatic spontaneously unitary movement within the stillness of consciousness.
