SCREEN PROBLEM

Post by surreptitious57 » Wed May 17, 2017 6:36 am

Can the screen problem be sorted out now or can you revert back to the previous format instead

What screen problem are you referring to?

The website completed its overhaul so I no longer have a screen problem.

I cannot remove both links for Quick Links and my username. When I try to do so one automatically comes back up. Can you remove the three Contact icons from underneath my username on my posts other wise I shall have to leave the forum. Can you remove the fault on some of the
Quick Links specifically New Posts and Unread Posts and Unread Posts and Unanswered Topics and Active Topics. Can you do this immediately

I had to use a different browser. There were menus cluttering up the whole page. It's fine on a different browser though, but I keep having to flick between browsers which is a bit annoying.

I don't know if this will work, but you can try what I did. You can try re-registering. If that doesn't work, you can also try dumping your shortcut and get another one.

I cannot remove all of the menus. As soon as I try to do so one automatically comes back up. Now there was
nothing wrong with the old format it was absolutely fine. I now have to leave the forum. Goodbye everyone

I have done what you did veg and changed my browser. And the problem is now gone. I do not think I have to switch between browsers
either. I have switched from Chrome to Firefox and so if anyone else is experiencing the same problem I would suggest you do likewise

I have no screen problem, maybe it's to do with your screen only. Clear browser cache and or reinstall browser over wiped space. Maybe update video card driver if no joy with previous.

No because others have mentioned the same in the other thread

OK, I was unaware! Good luck!

P.S. have you tried a different browser, so as to know there is an incompatibility between it and the site?

Yes I don't usually read the entire thread, so as to not contaminate my thoughts with those of others. I see now that you've said as much. So I'm assuming, problem solved?

Wait until the next upgrade of chromium to see if the problem persists. Also others have said that their version of chromium is unaffected. There can be corrupted data associated with any particular build of software, that can be eliminated with a newer build.

Again Good Luck!

I had a problem with Chrome and the forum for a while. Just cleared all the cache and problem solved.

For me the site is almost unusable, the indexes are covered in icons and all the drop down menus are open. The quote function is also messed up.
