Re: 0d Lines and Circles

The points are not fixed and your argument is grounded in assumption There is no assumption in infinity as it is a fundamental characteristic of the number line Irrationals belong to both an infinite set and have infinite decimal places There are also many other infinite sets contained within the n...

Re: 0d Lines and Circles

A line composed of infinite points necessitates it as composed of infinite lines ... each line or line segment is infinite by default ... but this necessitates that each quantifiable line as a number is an infinite set . I is an infinity . Same with 2 . And 3 . Etc There are irrational numbers with...

Re: 0d Lines and Circles

The number line is composed of infinite numbers and yet it is a line ... if the numbers are progressing then so is the line The line cannot be fully mapped because it is infinite but it is still nonetheless complete Each number can be thought of as an individual point on an infinite one dimensional...

Re: 0d Lines and Circles

There is no such thing as a dynamic changing number anywhere on the number line As all numbers occupy a unique fixed place that is different from all other numbers Any irrational numbers like pi will have an infinite number of pre determined places So pi only has one value even though all of its dec...

Re: How time can only exist at now and yet has a direction?

Thus static is infinite change - change is multiple static states - static is infinite static states ( infinite multiplicity as no multiplicity ) and change is multiple infinite states ( finite number of infinities as multiplicity ) There cannot be absolutely true static within an ever changing Uni...

Re: 0d Lines and Circles

There is no other number that exists between . 99999 ... and I so they have to be the same Furthermore it is accepted as true within mathematics so the question is entirely academic Here are another two ways where it can very easily be demonstrated to be true : . 33333 ... = I / 3 so . 99999 ... = I...

Re: How time can only exist at now and yet has a direction?

Humans with such a short lifespan like to believe in the eternal and I guess relatively there kind of is but there is no evidence that proves anything is eternal by definition One would need an eternity of time to prove the eternal but I do not think its possible for existence to simply stop given ...

Re: How time can only exist at now and yet has a direction?

Time is simply the measurement of change or motion between states
A state is simply a point of existence which moves seamlessly from the present to the past almost immediately
And so while the state of now is eternal it is also collectively composed of these virtually instantaneous points

Re: 0d Lines and Circles

wtf wrote:
How do you account for the length of the unit interval then
The unit interval is composed of zero length points and so it cannot ever be longer than zero
That does not magically change just because there happens to be an infinite number of them

Re: 0d Lines and Circles

Anything multiplied by zero is zero since it cannot logically be anything else As what other possible answer is there to infinity times zero other than zero The fact that infinity is not a number is not relevant because the principle also applies to non numbers There is not a single thing that does...

Re: 0d Lines and Circles

There is no quantity so great that when it is multiplied by zero the answer is not zero Furthermore every single positive integer within infinity multiplied by zero equals zero Also if infinity is treated as a single entity then it can be substituted for one and one times zero is zero So that is thr...

Re: The Ontological God is the Ultimate God.

A perfect ontological God can certainly be perceived to exist but could such a God exist in reality Because such a being could not be separate from reality rather part of it just like everything else Anything perfect can be conceived by the mind but it cannot be translated to reality because it imp...
