Re: No War Has Ever Been A War For Freedom

Re: What is primary, conscience or love?
Love is not particularly important at all. Conscience is a bit more noteworthy. But there’s stuff that increase mean lifetime and is succesful in decreasing poverty and stuff like that. More potent faculties in the well ordered brain. but which in principle is more important for a person, conscienc...

Re: Generated Messages and Word-Values.
IF the universe was created THEN...we must exist within some type of Simulated Reality. What it is simulating is beyond our reach with the present devices of science. Are we able to identify possible evidence which scientific research has uncovered within this universe which could point to the poss...

Re: Is morality objective or subjective?
Objective means mind independent but morality cannot be objective because only facts are. That there exist different and conflicting moralities within philosophy and religion is also evidence of this. So there cannot be any such thing as objective morality. The very term itself is an oxymoron. Mora...

Re: The Cult of Philo
Think the OP is too pessimistic. academic kind of Philosophy is hard for the layman that actually reads papers and reads the hard books to see as world changing. Can a rabbit be called a rabbit in another universe like. But the big guys go come up with great books, readable for everyone, and do disc...

Re: Quote of the day
Tried to find something snazzy someone actually said today, but I i found nada. Global IQ dip. When staring directly at the red glowing light of a smoke detector on the ceiling of a dim room, the little red light disappears from view.
