p.s.
I'd also note that in the Wikki link tbieter gave, it says;
"He then become an explicit critic of the Regime."
I also note that the quote tbieter gave had no context and could be interpreted as saying that Stalin did the job needed to beat the Nazis.

Plus, at ...

Hi Richard, Great article and to much food for thought to discuss intelligibly at present. One comment. He should get a bloody proof-reader as it annoys the shit out of me having to search for prepositions and words to make sense of sentences whilst also trying to understand complicated concepts. Es...

It might mean that Hoyle and Wickramasinghe could have the last laugh, or, that Darwin was right, or, that the IDers are right.

That is do you think there was an exchange of ideas much like there was when the Priests translat...

oN BEinG the rIGht SiZe. J.B.Haldane. Had always heard about this book and had loved his answer when asked what, as a biologist, communist and atheist, he thought about God, replied "He has an inordinate fondness for beetles." :D :D So far it is one of the most brilliant and interesting co...

Hi Barbara and RA, Do you think that Thales got this from the Babylonians? As we've discovered that the Babylonian astronomer, Kidinnu, had a system of predicting eclipses that was not bettered until the late 18th century. Or was it Thales that gave it to the Babylonians? Just asking as you appear t...
