Re: A note on Special Relativity
Yes and someday the flat Earthers will be proven correct, space flight deniers will be proven correct, along with global warming deniers and Holocaust deniers. Someday? Nah, I doubt that your crowd will ever be proven right about anything. Of course, Science can't actually prove anyone to be right,...

Re: How close to reality can a scientific model get?
One cannot peer at a curve from two different angles (each eye) and be affected the same way. So what? I don't see a problem with this. The "problem" is that Einstein's proposal and the general concept of relativity is that because one cannot detect an absolute truth, subjective truth (ak...

Re: How close to reality can a scientific model get?
Except that you are not a one dimensional being. Einstein made that same mistake. Observers see from two perspectives at all times if they have but two eyes. Thus actual curves, especially directly in front, are perceived. The brain isn't as dumb as the theories it creates. Not sure you're thinking...

Re: How close to reality can a scientific model get?
Straight Path ≡ having equal length on all bordering sides. Curved Path ≡ having unequal length on any bordering side. Actually, if you look at my post just prior to yours, I could further say that everything could be assumed to be curved, and that straight is just a special case arising out of you...

Emmm... nahhh..Jaded Sage wrote:I dunno what to tell you: 1/0 is infinity.
1 / infinity = infinitesimal
1 / infinitesimal = infinity.
1 / 0 means to "divide 1 into zero parts". Even infinity could not do that. It is a meaningless term; "What is one half of the radius of a 2 meter square?"

A note on Special Relativity
EurekaAlert : The special theory of relativity has been disproved theoretically At present, mainstream physicists seem to have fully accepted Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity (STR) and to take it as the foundation of modern physics because the theory appears perfectly logical and its predict...

Re: At the Beginning was the Word
"The Word" in scriptures means "The Spell".
In the beginning was the Spell, and the Spell was with God, and the Spell was God. - The Go-spel that causes all things.

Re: How close to reality can a scientific model get?
"Bent", "Warped", and "Curved" are all dependent upon the definition of "straight". If I define a straight path without merely saying that it is the lack of being curved, then being curved gains meaning. Straight Path ≡ having equal length on all bordering sid...

Well, I know that you didn't just give up. I haven't given up but I have no interest in repeating myself. Most of the points you raise are adequately addressed in the synopsis of my philosophy, for which I provided a link. I'll be happy to address any questions which might arise from this essay but...

Re: Measuring Existence
Does the "location" exist prior to and subsequent to the occurrence of the affectance event or does the "location" only have a meaning for the duration of the affectance itself? That is the difference in euclidean and relativity ontologies. Pick one. Using the euclidean location...

Re: Measuring Existence
I thought you said that there's no such thing as a "point". Where did I say that? A "point" is a location where a process is occurring differently than at another location, another point. A point is not an object, merely a difference in the affectance. That is why "space&qu...

Re: Measuring Existence
A wave of affect crosses another wave of affect. How? What is the medium in which this wave exists and how is it propagated? What is the wave made of? I have explained that several times. Much like your issue of there being "no space", affectance has no medium in which it propagates. Alth...
