The West Coast Fires and Their Cause
The West coast fires in the US are astonishing and unprecedented. Comparisons are being made with Dresden and Hiroshima due the intensity of the fires and their unusual behaviour. If you need any more evidence of Mankind's stupidity here's some. The first article is long but by half-way you'll have ...

Re: if there's anything that all philosopers can agree on
Nobody, or nobody that you are willing to acknowledge? Just name one philosopher who argues against the unbecidability of metaphysical problems. You're arguing against a basic and well-known fact. I have no idea why. . Metaphysically, there are no facts, only interpretations. The absurdity of posit...

Re: I am who I am
What are you talking about? Certain knowledge is impossible for finite beings such as humans, that's basic stuff. It's a delusion that one can go beyond experience, because it doesn't have a beyond. Certain knowledge is a belief for psychologically weak, escapist narcissists, and no amount of medit...

Re: philosophy of religion isn't possible
Every religion has dogmatic beliefs, so how is dogma not an inherent part of religion? Karma or the moral equality of all beings is also dogma. Dogma requires faith which is belief without regard for the value of evidence. Philosophy is logical evidence. You couldn't be more wrong. They are diametr...

Re: I am who I am
Maybe you wonder because your quote is incorrect - it should say: I am THAT I am (and not: I am WHO I am). When God was saying: "I am THAT I am" he told Moses that he is the fundamental/basic "I am" (and not an individual, not a being separate from existence, but rather this ver...

Re: I am who I am
Oh yeah, we can't ever be absolutely sure of the correctness of any worldview, not even of the direct experience based nondualism. Yes it's almost certainly correct and can't be falsified. But claiming that direct experience gives certainty is just another form of self-serving narcissistic oneupman...

Re: if there's anything that all philosopers can agree on
And others disagree with them. Nobody disagrees with them as far as I know. They are not so foolish as to argue with the facts. The refusal of analysis to endorse a extreme metaphysical position is its most important result. If you do not know this fact then you will never understand philosophy. Pl...

Re: if there's anything that all philosopers can agree on
Since this "agreement" is never actually expressed, how do you know that they actually agree? It is widely expressed in three ways. Some philosophers state it as a fact (Kant, Bradley) Some just speak about the consequences, which is the undecidability of metaphysical problems (Russell, C...

Re: Hegel Walks Into A Bar…
Most of the biases against women are actually 'equally' created BY women as well as men. And the present paradigm is to turn Patriarchy into Matriarchy (a contrary) that still KEEPS the abuse in power but just flips which class gets to be the abuser and which the victim. The resolution without cont...

Re: The Passion discredited
The problem with holy text isn't in how they're interpreted, but in that they must be interpreted. There is no divine interpretation that makes everything make sense. However, there is also no rational interpretation of the bible at all, because much of it is directly opposed to other parts of itse...

Re: if there's anything that all philosopers can agree on
As far as I know all philosophers agree that metaphysics does not endorse a positive result. This is a very significant agreement. Of course, they then proceed to disagree about how to interpret this result.

Laszlo Makay, George Marosan Jr. and David Vatai consider whether death destroys meaning or creates it. https://philosophynow.org/issues/139/The_Meaning_of_Death Wow, The authors clearly have not a clue about what they are discussing. Why do people write articles on subjects they do not understand?...

A good article explaining biological animal evolution and its problems with morality. But the article doesn't include the human potential for conscious evolution in which objective morality is experienced rather than argued. So before writing of the relationship between biological and conscious evo...
