It seems that someone got my last reply here deleted. Well done.

Re: Does a pregnant woman carry a human being/person or just 'life'/meat?
It's a false dichotomy. Trying to apply B&W labels on a continuous, non-binary situation. What is personhood? It's certainly not about having a nervous system because many animals that we eat have a far more sophisticated sentience than any human infant, let alone foetus. Nor is it the capacity ...

Re: Does a pregnant woman carry a human being/person or just 'life'/meat?
You and Henry adopt strong PC stances when it suits you. That's pretty funny. I've been accused of many things, but kowtowing to PCness is not one of them. I must file that one away. Henry will like that, too. Good, because his double standards when it comes to PC are obvious too. Just one mention ...

Re: Do you think life is more than a play of creativity?
What I see is a universe that's apparently about 14 billion years old but will keep producing stars for another trillion years. That suggests to me that the universe is in its infancy, which means that we are still highly undeveloped versions of what will potentially come. Of course there's no guara...

Re: Does a pregnant woman carry a human being/person or just 'life'/meat?
Too funny to see Henry ... Nice lead-in to a totally ad hominem argument. Got anything to say that actually has a point? I note that your own ntire post is an implied ad hominem argument. You have no logic, content or sense in your paradigms - just the joy of tricky debating methods. You and Henry ...

Re: Does a pregnant woman carry a human being/person or just 'life'/meat?
Too funny to see Henry - the man who is more happy than anyone to see children and adults left to die, eg. war policy, health policy, yet a splash of protoplasm has him pretending to be all human rightsy. What an utter, utter hypocrite and lightweight. If Henry was honest, his answer would be that i...

Re: are women to blame for tyranny?
Yes Ansiktsburk, people will gravitate to roles that garner the most support from others. Historical factors mean that traditional roles tend to be more supported than others.
But all of that is not to blame for tyranny, though :)

Re: are women to blame for tyranny?
So what is a man who is not a real man? An unreal man? Crikey, never mind diversity. Everyone must fit their little assigned box. Blaming genders is simply ridiculous, at best. People are people. Even the unreal ones. Tyranny can be blamed upon insecurity - an administration's fear of losing control...

They don't. That's why there are different colours in the spectrum. How do you mean? I mighta misunderstood what you mean by "orbital", but I took you to mean the relatively desertified areas between 'shells' where electrons hang out. Even the 3 quarks in a proton (that's yer hydrogen nuc...

Re: Einstein's train. All change, please.
I was always so confused by the idea of orbitals and the impossibility of stuff falling between them. Now I visualise orbitals as irresistible currents and electrons as smeared crazy shells caught in the flow. Pretty wild, innit? Very wild - three mad quarks zipping around each other at almost ligh...

Re: So...
Egg laying is a pretty fundamental thing that life does. Immediately before fertilised eggs came unfertilised eggs in asexual reproduction. Before that came: Heterothallic mating occurs when two amoebae of different mating types are present in a dark and wet environment, where they can fuse during a...

Re: Einstein's train. All change, please.
Will, as you know, as a Spirograph tragic back in the Paleolithic I'm taken by the diagrams about quarks creating orbitals/shells. I was always so confused by the idea of orbitals and the impossibility of stuff falling between them. Now I visualise orbitals as irresistible currents and electrons as ...

Re: "NEVER MIND THE BOLLOCKS", HERE'S THE SIMPLE TRUTH ABOUT ABORTION
Henry, I am not your research service. Bugger off and waste someone else's time, you bore. In fact, if any of you ideologues stopped to think for a second you'd realise that infants and toddlers too are not truly human either, being less capable of reason than your dog or the cow you eat. They are p...

Re: Pathetic
I'll leave you take the issue of female suffrage up with Aristotle, Pericles, Nietzsche, Schopenhauer and Kant - they all argued that it would be suicidal. The old philosophers were famously misogynist. Then again, they were more patriarchal times. If you wish to represent cultural mores as univers...

Quite cute, but not all craziness is equal
Oh yes, people have always been crazy. But have all times been equally crazy? Are all cultures and individuals equally crazy? Do you need me to ask those questions? Put it this way .... Neil Armstrong's countrymen were once happy and proud that they had sent a man to the Moon. Now ever more of them ...
