Re: Go back to the void from whence you came!

Haven't we all! If you're still on the dharmic wheel, I'd say not... I realize you were kidding, but the irony of a self-identifying Buddhist saying that was not lost on me. Good point  I was thinking more in terms of Buddhist mind stream/karma, "I" am not the "me&q...

Re: Alan Watts!!!!

Apparently raw though is correct. You are not interested in rational and respectful debate or learning anything. I am not interested in
trading pointless abuse and insults so I will say goodbye.

Re: Alan Watts!!!!

Hello, How can he say this => "so the universe is a transit resistant like a bubble like smoke like" ...when he later says this => "scared of death because it's an unknown", it's not only selfcontradicting, but how does he know what the uniververse is like? Are you saying that th...

Re: Why are some people filled with mindless hatred?

They froth at the mouth, they spew out insults, obscenities, as many foul words as they can jam into a sentence, and all this without using a single argument or to intelligently reply to those already presented to them. It is simple, mindless hatred, without a scrap of rational thought behind it. I...

If you want to point the finger and say stupid/naïve you may want to clarify why you believe this to be the case.

Re: ~~~ WISDOM ~~~

. I asked the questions - then re-asked the questions HOPING for an answer. The GIF I used is a depiction I chose to use. But I am looking for your opinion ; other perspectives. I asked questions hoping for some answers from fellow members as yourself. I already know what I have posted here. . Okay...

Re: ~~~ WISDOM ~~~

Bill, your pic depicts human beings as essentially mindless, helpless and powerless victims of life. If you do not believe human beings are capable of choice, this seems to utterly negate the possibility of wisdom. Indeed it renders everything including wisdom meaningless. Why then ask the question?...

Re: What kind of Utopia would you like to live in?

Utopia evolves and is a work in progress I think, so I guess it would be a lot like Star trek. I just watched an episode of "The Next Generation" on Netflix. Watching Star Trek is an escape from reality for me. My all-time favourite is Captain Picard’s speech to a group of earthmen from t...

Re: Toad In The Hole

It is a danger I think. It reminds me of deindividuation in football supporters, when they basically chant racist and homophobic stuff because they are just a face in the crowd. Anonymity can create trolls of us if we have emotional issues and use the internet to offload rage and aggression :(

Re: ~~~ WISDOM ~~~

Hi Bill, How do you exercise your wisdom? Mainly through my ethical choices and loving myself/others. What do you do to increase your wisdom? Walk, reflect, meditate, observe, be without judgement, analyse and practicing compassion. What do you do to help increase your perspective? Since wisdom and ...

Re: I would be interested to hear others thoughts on this quote from Nietzsche

And who decides who is "the powerful"? I wouldn't think it was a matter of ' who decides'; but rather, who rises up and who steps aside. Hi Wyman, Then I guess both the one who rises up and the one who steps aside both implicitly agree. It was more of a rhetorical question really....
