Re: The Inter Mind

My only realization is that Consciousness seems to be something that exists as a separate thing from the Physical Brain. It seems to be connected to the Brain in some way. I think that since it is something separate from the Brain that it might be able to exist after the Brain is gone. However, I d...

Re: Pure Consciousness/Proto-Consciousness and Entropy may be the two sides of the same coin

Thank you.

One last question if you don't mind.

In your last statement, you appear to state there is a difference between consciousness and awareness. I have thought of them as being the same thing. What is the difference between consciousness and awareness?

Re: Pure Consciousness/Proto-Consciousness and Entropy may be the two sides of the same coin

If there is no duality in deep sleep, would deep sleep even be considered existence? Existence does not seem possible without duality. Even awareness doesn't seem possible without duality, or is awareness nondual? Awareness seems to be dual to me, you have the awareness AND what you are aware of. Is...

Re: Pure Consciousness/Proto-Consciousness and Entropy may be the two sides of the same coin

Hi Dontaskme, I have been pondering this ever since you posted it; and I have not been able to come up with anything to my satisfaction until now. Are consciousness and entropy the dualistic opposites of each other? Consciousness is what we use to perceive everything, we use consciousness to perceiv...

Re: Who's minding the store?

The problem with this is that at the moment I think about something, I'm not thinking about that something not existing at the same time. I'm thinking about that something in how it applies in achieving some goal. To think about it not existing requires a different kind of experience, and it still ...

Re: Who's minding the store?

Take away something, and what are you left with? Nothing. Now, you are correct to an extent. Nothingness cannot directly be known, simply because when you lack consciousness, you cannot observe the nothingness you are, precisely because you aren't. Hi Dalek Prime, This makes a lot of sense to me. B...

Re: Cosmic Consciousness

Hi Beauty,

I personally advocate veganism myself. I believe the fact that most people eat meat is a major cause of suffering in our world. It doesn't just cause suffering to the animal that was killed, it also causes suffering to the person eating the meat.

Best Regards,

Re: What is the use of consciousness when it comes to thought?

... Chapter 11: Awareness and Consciousness Does he know these are synonyms in English? If not what do you think he means by 'awareness', i.e. what is he referring to? What 'awareness' is there in deep sleep? Awareness is who you are. Non-dual. One. Consciousness is awareness + of. Dual. Two. You a...
