Re: The Mystical Perfection of My Seven Divinely Inspired Visions

1. When I was about 7 or 8 years old, I was in bed with a sore throat. I had my knees raised up under the covers, pretending it was a church, and suddenly the image of a man's face appeared at the back. It scared the hell out of me, and I quickly lowered my knees, and didn't raise them again. It wa...

Re: How do you compassionately tell a supernatural believing person that they are borderline stupid?

How do you compassionately tell a supernatural believing person that they are borderline stupid? As you can see by my title, I do not know how. Scriptures say that to correct is a sign of love. Proverbs 3:12 For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. Mos...

What does silence mean?

In selling products and services, it means more sales. I've first learned about silence as a negotiating tactic, used in offer and counteroffer, then later discovered it has a valuable use as a simple sales technique without considering it as a negotiating tactic. Why does it work? One theory comes ...

Re: Best album ever made.

Many people would say it's Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by the Beatles (I like their use of counterpoint). For me, though, it's Magical Mystery Tour also by the Beatles (my favorite song off that album is All You Need Is Love ). PhilX ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ The first example of their use of the counterpoint wh...

Perfection is achieved if any change will cause a worsening.

So one can only freeze and avoid moving.
Does this mean when someone is at the North Pole that moving in any direction will make you less north and less perfection is achieved?

An oil future?

It comes up in some threads about the politics of oil, e.g. oil-consuming countries being interested in oil producers. In the long run, I don't see where this situation would persist as the technology would develop to eliminate fossil fuels as has been forecasted. How do you see this developing? Phi...

Re: Will Trump's border wall keep out all undesirables?

If the US had absolute sovereignty all over the world, there would be no need for a wall.

How close to perfection can we get?

The answer depends in part on what is meant by "perfection" in the first place. Therefore I let the user make that definition and discuss his/her thoughts.

Re: How did spirituality, belief in God and the continuing search for God change you?

Since Bob readily provides his box # which is PO Box 1256, Southaven, MS 38671, let's put it to good use. We could send him all 66 books of the KJV to help him out with his monomania (which I have on good authority he's suffering from). Or we could give him private advice that we can't post on here ...
