I think it depends on why you're depressed. From what I understand, depression can be a physical problem (chemical imbalance), so while Objectivism will help you identify the root cause in this case, you won't be cured simply by "thinking correctly". On the other hand, bad philosophy can c...

If it means "not," then we have as an atheist someone who is not a theist (i.e., someone who does not have a belief in a God or gods). If it means "without," then an atheist is someone without theism, or without a belief in God.
